So the Governor of Colorado is getting shit because he stated "equal rights" for all Coloradans based on the Civil Unions bill.

Yes we all know that civil unions is NOT marriage but you know we had NOTHING yesterday, let's celebrate the victory and the step in the right direction. Not crap all over the governor for a misplaced statement. A victory is a victory. PERIOD.

As I have stated elsewhere, I am very thankful that I have more rights in the State of Colorado today, then I did before...

Things are changing and the bitches who are choosing to look a gift horse in the mouth can shut up!

Right Direction? FUCK YES!

Welcome to the land of Hypocrites....

Just a quick musing, I saw an editorial on the Dixie Chicks and how they are still hated because of what they said.... yet I find it funny how the same people who hate them for disparaging the President, say far worse things about our current president. You know any one of the country artists could come out and say I am ashamed that Obama is from the US or Hawaii or even that he is a president... and they would be praised and probably given a special lifetime achievement country music award. Funny it is the US of H J.

Ok so...

Ok so I went on vacation in February, which is why there was basically nothing from me in that whole month. We were gone for 2.5 weeks. We went to NYC where we spent a couple days and saw The Book of Mormon, and Newsies. Both amazing shows but the Book of Mormon was absolutely the funniest show I have ever seen. I am hoping that when it returns to Denver here we can score tickets. I highly recommend it to anyone. Next we headed to Baltimore where we spent some time with my best friend Sami and her husband. We did all the touristy type stuff in Baltimore and even spent a day in Washington DC. Jason and I would like to go back to DC in the warmer months and spend some quality time there. We kept it pretty minimal because you know it is still somewhat cold in February. Then we set off on what was my favorite part of the trip. The cruise. I love cruising and I am ready to go again without even thinking. We boarded the boat in Baltimore (Never again in the winter) and spent the first two days at sea. It was AWESOME! We participated in games like Win Lose or Draw and Jason participated in Last Man Standing which is a survivor like competition. (By survivor I am referencing the types of competitions they do, they did not make them live secluded on an island or anything) It was a blast. Our first port was Port Canaveral which is about 45-50 miles east of Orlando. Jason and I did an excursion to Universal's Islands of Adventure. It was one of the main reasons we chose this cruise. It was so I could go to the Harry Potter area and have a geekgasm. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was worth it alone. We actually rode that ride twice we enjoyed it so much. We had lunch at the Three Broomsticks, and explored the HELL out the place, they did an amazing job at creating an authentic Harry Potter experience. The rest of the park was fun as well, but hard to compare when the Harry Potter portion was so amazing. I remember a Marvel area and Dr. Seuss. There was a show that kinda came off misleading, it was called Poseidon's Fury. We waited forever for it and when we finally got in, it was so cheesy and lame. If you ever venture to Islands of Adventure I would recommend skipping this, it is not worth it in any facet. I would recommend getting an Express Pass if you go at any regular busy time, as it will save you a TON of time and you will get to do more than a couple rides. I can see how this place could be frustrating if you had to spend most of your time in line. Jason and I did actually get the pass and I think we were thankful for having done so. It afforded us the ability to to the whole park in the time we were there. We got back on the boat and headed out to Nassau, The Bahamas. Our excursion for the day was to be the Atlantis Aquaventure. It was supposed to include a tour of the grounds and the aquarium. Wait let me go back a bit... after we were ready to head out Jason and I went to breakfast on the boat. Anyone who has been on a cruise knows that sometimes you get sat at tables with other people. Well RANDOMLY J and I got sat at a table with another Bear couple. Who just so happened to be going on the exact same excursion. So we met up to go on the excursion together and decided to skip the whole tour part and do the water park portion. That is one of the most amazing water parks I have ever been to. SO much fun. Yes we did do the big slide you see in all the commercials for the place. That is basically where we spent our day. The lazy river/rapids was the best part, because some of the water coasters are right off of that and you never have to leave your tube. The next stop was Freeport, Bahamas. This stop was ok. J and I did an excursion where we learned how to harvest and cook Conch (said CONK) shells. It was very tasty. The most frustrating part of that though was a drunk homophobic douchebag who decided the term faggots was fine to throw around. I do know that J and I need to find some Conch so we can make the conch salad we learned to make. I have all of the recipes and want to give it a shot. The food was amazing the massages were amazing and the whole cruise was worth it. I would highly recommend Carnival to anyone, they are affordable and completely fun! After that we returned to Baltimore (yuck for the cold) and then returned here to Denver. Overall it was amazing. Unfortunately coming back to work after 2.5 weeks left me with a shit ton of work and stress. On the plus side, I got my promotion so I am now officially in title and salary an accountant. So that is basically where I have been and what has been up. Hopefully I will get better about posting now things have slowed down a bit. Although I am contemplating going for my Masters degree... but that is still in the early decision process. J.
